Corona Strings
Corona Strings was born from a simple belief: every violin is a singular object — shaped by the wood it’s made from, the hands that built it, and the player who gives it voice.
Rooted in Marikina’s rich tradition of Filipino craftsmanship, Corona Strings bridges the gap between considered instrument making and the everyday musician — offering instruments, accessories, repairs, and lessons for every level of player.
The plan
Corona Strings is being built in three phases. We’re open about which phase we’re in because nothing matters more than honesty — especially in a craft where trust is everything.
- Phase 1 — today. A free, useful website with practice tools and honest writing about the violin. The shop, services, and lessons aren’t open yet, and we won’t pretend they are.
- Phase 2 — coming. Hand-selected accessories and imported instruments, bookable luthier services for setup and repair, and a small marketplace of vetted teachers for online lessons.
- Phase 3 — the long view. Custom-built Corona Strings violins, tonewood selection and provenance, and a physical studio in Marikina for in-person lessons, walk-in services, and recitals.
What we believe
Every violin has its own character. The right instrument for you is the one that lets you be yourself.
That belief shapes every recommendation we make. There is no “best” violin — only the one that fits your hand, your ear, your stage of playing, and your budget. Our job is to help you find it, set it up properly, and keep it healthy for as long as you play.

Orchestra players. Music school students. Beginner-to-advanced players. Parents buying a first instrument for their child. Non-Filipino residents and expats in Metro Manila. Anyone with an interest in the violin, viola, cello, or double bass — from curious beginners to seasoned professionals.
Where we’re based
Marikina, Metro Manila — the heart of Filipino craftsmanship. We serve all of Metro Manila and ship nationwide via LBC.
