Start with seven

Common difficulty covers the seven intervals you'll hit most in tonal music — P4, P5, P8, m2, M2, m3, M3. Master these before moving up.

Songs as anchors

Each interval has a song that starts on it. M3 = 'When the Saints Go Marching In'. P4 = 'Here Comes the Bride'. P5 = the Star Wars main theme. Build your own anchor library.
