Note for Phase 1: Corona Strings has not yet opened its shop, services, or lessons. This policy is published in advance so you know our approach when those features launch in Phase 2. No transactions are accepted on the Site at this time.
1. Our approach
We sell things made by hand and by trusted partners. We’d rather you have an instrument or accessory you love than one you’re stuck with. This policy is written to be fair to both of us — generous on quality, firm on hygiene-sensitive items.
2. Accessories (Shop, Phase 2)
- 30-day return window on unopened, unused accessories — strings, rosin, music stands, tuners, shoulder rests in original packaging.
- Final sale on hygiene-sensitive items once opened: bow hair products, chinrest covers, mute pads, mouth-applied accessories. We can’t resell these and we won’t pretend we can.
- Defective on arrival? Email us within 7 days with photos. We replace or refund — your choice — at our expense.
3. Imported violins (Shop, Phase 2)
- 14-day approval period. Try the violin in your home. If it’s not the right fit, return it for a full refund less return shipping. The instrument must come back in the same condition it left in.
- Setup will be included. When the Marikina workshop opens, every violin sold will be set up by Corona Strings before dispatch. Until then, instruments ship in their factory setup and any further adjustments are arranged with a partner luthier — those costs are not refunded if you keep the instrument.
4. Custom violins (Phase 3)
Custom commissions are non-refundable once construction has started. We discuss every detail before deposit. If you change your mind during the design phase before construction begins, your deposit is fully refundable. Once we’ve cut wood, the deposit secures your slot in the queue.
5. Luthier services (Phase 2)
Service quotes are honored as written. If the work uncovers additional issues, we contact you with revised pricing before proceeding — no surprise charges. Completed services are non-refundable, but we stand behind our work: bring it back if something we did doesn’t hold, and we’ll fix it at no extra charge for 30 days.
6. Lessons (Phase 2)
- Single lessons (The First Note): 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancel within 24 hours of the start time and the lesson fee is forfeited. Cancel earlier and you can reschedule once at no charge.
- Lesson packages: Refundable for the pro-rated value of unused sessions, less a 10% admin fee, up to 30 days from purchase. After 30 days, unused sessions remain available for redemption for one year from purchase.
- Discount roulette rewards are non-refundable and non-transferable, and expire 90 days after issue.
7. How to request a refund
Email hello@coronastrings.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 working days. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7-10 working days of approval.
8. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under Philippine consumer law (Republic Act No. 7394). If a product is defective or not as described, you’re entitled to the remedies set out in that law regardless of this policy.
